NRS 6464 Primary Care of the Family II
This course prepares Family Nurse Practitioner students to provide comprehensive primary care for clients across the lifespan. Emphasis is on advanced assessment, diagnosis, and management of common and complex health conditions. Students integrate health promotion, illness prevention, patient education, protocol development, and referral while gaining hands-on experience in precepted clinical settings. Clinical practice focuses on fostering skills in assessment, diagnostic reasoning, therapeutic planning, and evaluation of acute and chronic health concerns. Requires 192 direct care practicum hours.
