NRS 6442 Advanced Diagnostics II
This course builds upon Advanced Diagnostics I to advance diagnostic reasoning and clinical decision-making for complex, multisystem, and high-risk patient presentations across the lifespan. Emphasis is placed on interpretation of complex diagnostic data, management of diagnostic uncertainty, and evaluation of diagnostic accuracy in patients with comorbid and chronic conditions. Students synthesize advanced pathophysiology, evidence-based guidelines, and clinical judgment to refine differential diagnoses and guide diagnostic and therapeutic decision-making. The course further emphasizes advanced documentation, quality improvement, interprofessional collaboration, ethical and legal considerations, and population-based implications of diagnostic practices in primary care.
