NRS 6434 Primary Care Across Lifespan II
This course builds upon foundational primary care concepts to advance clinical decision-making and management of complex, chronic, and multisystem health conditions across the lifespan. Emphasis is placed on advanced diagnostic reasoning, management of comorbidities, and care of vulnerable and special populations, including individuals with mental health, substance use, and chronic disease conditions. Students integrate evidence-based guidelines, pharmacologic and nonpharmacologic therapies, and population-based strategies to optimize patient outcomes. Content includes advanced care coordination, interprofessional collaboration, quality improvement, and evaluation of health outcomes. Documentation, coding, billing, and reporting practices are reinforced with an emphasis on ethical, legal, and regulatory compliance in advanced practice primary care.
