NRS 6454 Primary Care of the Family I
This course prepares Family Nurse Practitioner students to provide comprehensive primary care for clients across the lifespan. Emphasis is on advanced health assessment, development of differential diagnoses, and management of common acute and chronic conditions. Students integrate clinical reasoning, evidence-based interventions, and patient education while addressing developmental, physical, and psycho-social health needs. Clinical practicum experiences reinforce diagnosis, management, follow-up, referral, and therapeutic planning. Requires 192 direct care practicum hours. PREREQUISITES: NRS 6434, NRS 6442
