SLP 5122 Fluency Disorders
The focus of this course is to provide a comparison of developmental and acquired fluency disorders, with an overview characteristics of fluency disorders in children and adults. Assessment, diagnosis and treatment of dysfluency across the lifespan are student objectives of this course. Students will consider the experience of fluency and dysfluency/stuttering from the viewpoint of the person who stutters. Course will also focus on prevention and management of stuttering in clinical practice.
