NRS 5333 Advanced Pathophysiology
This course examines normal physiological processes and pathologic mechanisms of disease to prepare nurses for advanced practice roles. Emphasis is placed on systems-focused mechanisms of disease and the integration of advanced physiology, pathophysiology, and clinical implications across the lifespan. Major disease entities are analyzed as a foundation for advanced nursing management of patient care, with attention to health disparities and outcomes influenced by genetic, environmental, and stress-related factors.
