Bachelor of Science in Information Systems Major (120 hrs.)

Trine University will prepare students enrolled in the Bachelor of Science in Information Systems (BSIS) program for cutting-edge careers in fields associated with software applications, system analysis, information and system security, database management and network administration. Throughout this program, students will use critical thinking and applied learning to master industry relevant skills. Additionally, students will choose a concentration in one of the following areas: management/leadership, healthcare, marketing, cybersecurity, game design and esports, or students can also transfer in prior experience into the information systems specialty concentration. The advancement of the digital revolution has opened the door for numerous career opportunities associated with information systems. By integrating computing and business practices, students will be prepared to enter or advance in the workforce.

1. Recommend emerging technologies using computing practices to enhance organizational efficiency.

2. Design computer-based systems, processes, components, and programs to meet organizational needs.

3. Evaluate the impact of computing technologies on individuals, organizations, and society.

4. Develop project management processes to maximize productivity.
