Spring 2025 Trine Course Catalog

ECE 231 Discrete Electronics Laboratory

The fundamental electronic circuits are designed, implemented, and tested in the laboratory using bench-top test instruments. Emphasis is placed on electronic switching and signal amplification. Students will: Implement uncontrolled rectification using power diodes and regulators; implement simple switches using field-effect and bipolar transistors; implement signal and power amplification using discrete components; implement signal and power amplification using integrated-circuit amplifiers.
