BA 433 Business Analytics

Data accumulation, data filtering and informational dissemination grants organizations a competitive edge in the way they can use simulation or models to make more informed decisions regarding the deployment of capital, market development or resource management. Having an understanding of how data is generated, stored, compiled and manipulated through modeling provides a baseline for individuals and businesses to incrementally defend themselves in the race for societal impact and capital accumulation. This course is designed to help students learn methods to identify and analyze data, to better help incorporate data into applicable models, and to help create informational visualization efficiently in order to generate better educated business decisions. Prerequisites: BA 213 Business Spreadsheets and MA 253 Statistics or MA 393 Probability & Statistics.
