PSY 323 Fundamentals of Psychopathology
Survey of psychopathology, including clinical assessment, anxiety and related disorders, schizophrenia spectrum disorders, personality disorders, mood disorders, age-related conditions, and sexual dysfunctions. Emphasizes diagnosis using criteria from the current edition of the DSM with attention to clinically significant distress and functional impairment. Also addresses approaches to psychotherapy, as well as legal, ethical, cultural, and social considerations in clinical psychology. Prerequisite: PSY 113
