ENG 2523 World Literature II

Introduces the student to Western and non-Western texts in translation which have influenced thought and culture. Through analysis and discussion, students will develop an essential vocabulary and skills in critical reading. Selections will be drawn from around 1600 to the present and will demonstrate diverse (i.e. gender, culture, and ethnicity), global perspectives. Prerequisites: ENG 143 or ENG 133
