Spring 2024 Trine Course Catalog

CE 4503 Structural Analysis II

Approximate methods for the analysis of indeterminate trusses and frames are presented. Matrix-based computer methods based on the direct stiffness method are employed to analyze both determinate and indeterminate trusses, beams, and frames. Also, fundamental concepts in structural dynamics, including the free and forced response of single degree of freedom systems, are introduced. Prerequisite: Grade of "C" or better in CE 3503
