SLP 5153 Practicum I

Students will participate in a supervised clinical experience at an affiliate practicum placement site.  This introduction clinical provides exposure to communication and or swallowing impairments across the lifespan.  Focus is for students to discover and apply evaluation, diagnosis, intervention, interaction, professional, and documentation skills with clinical educator supervision.  Amount of direct contact will be at clinical educators’ discretion and with supervision.  Students will earn clock hours with communication and/or swallowing impairments given the amount of direct time in the provision of service.
