SLP 6426 Practicum IV
Students will participate this 12- week, 30 hour per week advanced clinical practice at an affiliate practicum site with individuals presenting with speech, voice, fluency, language, cognitive, motor speech, and/or swallowing impairments. Students will continue to develop evaluation, diagnosis, intervention, interaction, professional and documentation skills. Increased client contact hours are expected during this practicum. Placement site will direct the student’s exposure to team meetings, interprofessional collaboration, and the full scope of services provided by speech language pathologists. Students will earn clock hours with communication and/or swallowing impairments given the amount of direct time in the provision of service.
