FIN 6923 Managerial Accounting & Finance

This course is an introduction and examination of essential accounting and finance principle, teaching students how to use accounting and financial information for effective decision making, planning, and controlling the operations of business enterprises. Significant emphasis is placed on corporate finance, introducing financial markets and institutions, asset valuation, and the relationships between risk and return. Other topics include break-even analysis and pricing, product cost systems, capital budgeting, and cost-volume-profit analysis.
