EDU 2103 Montessori Elementary Mathematics & Geometry Methods (EL 1)
This course is an introduction to the Montessori philosophy and methodology for elementary classrooms, specifically focused on mathematics. The course introduces concrete materials and methods for assisting lower elementary children in arithmetic using Montessori hands-on materials. Additionally, this course addresses basic foundations of geometry including the fundamental concepts, lines, angles, triangles, quadrilaterals, polygons, circles, and an introduction to area, also using Montessori hands-on materials for learning.
