ECE 433 Power Electronics
Building on Discrete Electronics, this course addresses the concerns that arise in the design of semiconductor circuits and devices due to larger voltages and currents. Students can explain and quantify the performance of three-phase AC to DC and DC to AC converters, the performance of four-quadrant DC to DC converters, and quantify the effect of harmonic-producing electronics loads on a radial power system.
