CE 3503 Structural Analysis I

Classification of structures; Force and deflection analysis of statically determinate beams, frames, and trusses by classical methods; Analysis of statically indeterminate beams and frames using the moment distribution method; Computer modeling and analysis of structures; Load effects, tributary loads, load paths, and ASCE load combinations; Construction of reaction force, shear and moment envelopes using influence diagrams. Prerequisite: Grade of "C" or better in ES 243; Corequisite: CE 3501
