MA 121 Python for Data Science
This class is offered in partnership with Purdue University and the Indiana Data Mine. The Data Mine is a supportive environment for students in any major and from any background who want to learn some data science skills. Students will have hands-on experience with computational tools for representing, extracting, manipulating, interpreting, transforming, and visualizing data, especially big data sets, and in effectively communicating insights about data. Topics for this course include: Python, visualizing data, pandas and applications to big data. Please note that this course complements CS 1113 and cannot be used as a substitution for CS 1113.
