ENG 153 Introduction to Literature
Introduces the student to literature of some complexity and sophistication, developing a critical vocabulary and skills in reading on an advanced level. Analysis of at least three genres and taking into consideration the cultural and historical contexts of these works. Students will also write close-readings of texts throughout the semester.
