DPT 5243 Clinical Practice II
Students learn through lectures, guided practice, literature reviews, case-based discussions, and documentation assignments, important skills for patient management in clinical practice. These skills include assessing range of motion, muscle performance, and posture; applying therapeutic passive, active-assisted, and manually resisted motions; and utilizing manual techniques to assess and treat joint mobility issues. Emphasis is placed on integrating examination findings, current scientific evidence, and sound clinical reasoning to prevent and rehabilitate movement dysfunction and disability. Prerequisite: Successful completion of all coursework in previous semesters.
