CH 362 Fundamentals of Immunology I

This course will discuss the role of the innate immune system in responding to infectious and non-infectious injuries. It will explore the diverse cell types of the innate immune system and their specialized roles in immunosurveillance, threat detection, injury resolution, and repair. It will also discuss how a dysfunctional innate immune system contributes to body-wide inflammation and chronic disease. (same as BIO 362) Prerequisite: CH 204 Organic Chemistry I & Laboratory and BIO 324 Microbiology & Laboratory
