ARC 293 Architecture Appreciation

This course introduces the built environment and examines buildings and infrastructure from prehistory to present. Lectures and assignments will introduce you to architectural terminology and historical, cultural, and innovatively significant buildings. Structures will be examined based on design, materials, geographic location, physical environment, social and cultural contexts, and past and present use. The architect, engineer, client, and user roles will be examined.
