PH 353 Thermal and Statistical Physics

Introduction to thermal and statistical physics. Apply thermodynamic principles to thermodynamic systems to describe and predict their behavior. Topics include thermal equilibrium, laws of thermodynamics, selected concepts in statistics (fundamental concepts, probability distributions), statistical mechanics. Prerequisite: PH 234.
