OTD 5332 Practice Design and Simulation
Practice Design and Simulation builds on the foundational skills learned in OTD 5222. This course provides students with the opportunity to review medical records and plan, create, and document occupational therapy services. Engaging in collaboration with other graduate healthcare students will support effective intervention planning and, subsequently, a review of documentation to enhance understanding of co-treatment practices. Learning activities will be provided through this interprofessional experience, students will understand the implications of billing and reimbursement for individual sessions and co-treatment. Students will be expected to accurately integrate medical and occupational therapy-specific terminology into documentation samples. Students will demonstrate an understanding of the continuum of care and discharge planning process across multiple practice settings.
