MA 211 SQL for Data Science
This class is offered in partnership with Purdue University and the Indiana Data Mine. The Data Mine is a supportive environment for students in any major and from any background who want to learn some data science skills. Students will have hands-on experience with computational tools for representing, extracting, manipulating, interpreting, transforming, and visualizing data, especially big data sets, and in effectively communicating insights about data. Topics for this course include: SQL, R, bash, visualizing data, data queries, and applications to big data. Prerequisite: MA 111 or instructor approval.
