ENG 2513 World Literature I

Introduces the student to Western and non-Western texts in translation which have influenced thought and culture. Through analysis and discussion, students will develop an essential vocabulary and skills in critical reading. Selections will be drawn from literature up to around 1600 and will demonstrate diverse (i.e. gender, culture, and ethnicity), global perspectives. Prerequisites: ENG 143 or ENG 133
