OTD 7844 Doctoral Capstone Experience

The goal of the Doctoral Capstone Experience (DCE) is to develop occupational therapists with advanced knowledge and skill beyond the generalist level in a focused area of practice. Students will participate in an in-depth experience in an area such as fieldwork practice, research, leadership, program and/or policy development, advocacy, education, or theory development. The DCE culminates in an individualized project that connects practice with scholarship by the implementation and evaluation of the doctoral capstone project which will be presented in OTD 7842. The student must document a minimum of 560 hours of participation in a mentored capstone experience.  Prerequisites: OTD 7740; Corequisites: OTD 7842
