SI 213 Theories & Philosophies of Social Innovation

Students are introduced to the altruistic and philanthropic drivers of social innovation, specifically focusing on how the desire to accrue value for society is becoming more influential than profit motive. The course asks students to examine (through a number of lenses) the emergence of the humanistic element in what have traditionally been capitalistic and technological fields. (Same as PHL 213) Prerequisites: ENG 143, PSY 113
