FIN 5823 Financial Modeling

In this course, students will learn how to build robust financial forecasts and Excel models, as well as how to analyze and communicate the results to decision makers in the business organization. The focus is on financial modeling techniques used in corporate finance. Areas covered include forecasting financial statements, estimating cost of capital, equity valuation analysis, and capital budgeting. Students will learn how to use sensitivity analysis and simulation techniques in modeling risk. Students will also explore the basics of portfolio models.
