MAE 4163 Introduction to Rocket Propulsion
This course introduces the analysis of rocket propulsion motors and engines. The basics of mission analysis, trajectory analysis and nozzle performance will be discussed. Moreover, combustion and heat transfer will be applied in a rocket context. The performance of solid motors, liquid engines, and hybrid engines will be explored including solid and hybrid rocket internal ballistics and liquid rocket engine cycle analysis. Prerequisite:
