CH 234 Quantitative Chemical Analysis
A quantitative treatment of analytical chemistry with a focus on the approach to solving problems. Topics of discussion include: the recognition and evaluation of error, critical and statistical analysis of data, further studies of equilibrium (acid/base, buffers, solubility and electrochemistry), and the principles of chemical separation and spectroscopy. The laboratory portion reinforces material learned in the classroom by providing practical experience in the areas of volumetric, gravimetric, spectrophotometric, and chromatographic processes.
